Effective Date: July 14, 2026
Introduction
Welcome to SAAR - Summarize, Translate & Create ("SAAR", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our mobile application and web service. SAAR provides optical character recognition (OCR), translation, summarization, AI-assisted content transformation (custom prompts), text-to-speech (audio) generation, and text-to-video generation. We are committed to protecting your privacy while delivering these features.
Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
By using SAAR you agree to use it ONLY for lawful, legitimate and proper purposes. You must not use SAAR for any illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive or otherwise improper activity. We reserve the right to screen, refuse, block or discontinue any request or content that violates this policy or applicable law.
Lawful and Proper Use Only
SAAR is a productivity and creativity tool intended for personal, educational and other legitimate uses. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for how you use any output generated by the app.
Prohibited Uses
You must NOT use SAAR (including its OCR, summarization, translation, custom-prompt, text-to-speech, image and video-generation features) to create, process, upload, or distribute content that:
- Violates any applicable local, national or international law or regulation
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or intended to mislead, scam or defraud others
- Impersonates any person or entity, or creates deepfakes, forged documents, or synthetic audio/video/imagery intended to deceive
- Is hateful, harassing, defamatory, threatening, or promotes violence, discrimination or self-harm
- Is sexually explicit, obscene, or exploits or endangers minors in any way
- Infringes the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or other rights of any third party
- Contains another person's private or personal data submitted without a lawful basis or their consent
- Spreads malware, spam, or attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure
- Generates disinformation, or content designed to manipulate elections, markets, or public opinion through deception

Enforcement and Content Safety
- SAAR applies automated content-safety screening to submitted text to help detect and block clearly prohibited material before processing
- Requests that are flagged as unsafe or prohibited may be refused and are not processed further
- Automated screening is not perfect; it does not relieve you of your responsibility to comply with this policy and the law
- We may block access or discontinue service for users who misuse the app
Fair Use and Copyright
User Responsibilities
- Users are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to scan, upload and process any materials
- The app does not encourage or support copyright infringement
- Users must obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted materials
Acceptable Use
Summarization, translation and content-transformation features are intended for legitimate uses such as:
- Personal research
- Educational purposes
- Private study
- Critical review
- Non-commercial use
Data Collection and Processing
Camera and Voice Input
- Camera access is used for document scanning and image capture
- Microphone access (RECORD_AUDIO) is used only for optional voice input (speech-to-text) when you choose to dictate
- Captured images and voice input are processed to fulfil your request and are not permanently stored on your device by our app
Text, Image, Audio and Video Processing (Cloud)
IMPORTANT: Your images, text, and generation requests are processed using secure cloud-based services to provide OCR, summarization, translation, speech, image and video functionality.
How your data is processed:
- Images are sent to a cloud-based OCR service for text extraction
- Extracted or entered text is processed by AI services for summarization and custom-prompt transformations
- Text is sent to a translation service for language conversion
- Text may be converted to synthesized speech (audio) for the video and read-aloud features
- For video generation, your text (and the resulting audio, subtitles and generated visuals) is assembled into a video file on our server
- All data transmission occurs over secure HTTPS connections
- Your source content is processed transiently and is not retained after your request is completed
Text-to-Speech (Audio) Generation
- When you generate a video or use read-aloud, your text is converted into synthesized speech
- Generated audio is created solely to fulfil your request and is not used to build a voice profile or to identify you
- Temporary audio files created during generation are deleted automatically after processing
Text-to-Video Generation
- The video feature turns your text into a narrated video with optional subtitles, a visual template and optional background music
- The finished video is stored temporarily on our server only so that you can preview and download it
- Generated videos are deleted automatically from our servers a short time after creation (typically within about one hour)
- We do not use your generated videos for any purpose other than delivering them to you
AI-Generated Scene Imagery
- Some video styles may include AI-generated background visuals created from your text
- These images are generated transiently to build your video and are removed together with the video's temporary files
Document and Media Export (DOCX / PDF / Video)
- Document generation (DOCX/PDF) occurs locally on your device
- Videos are downloaded from our service to your device at your request
- Exported files are saved to your device storage under your control
- We do not access exported documents stored on your device
